Made entirely with Tandy Leather factory products. Hand-tooled. Front pannels colored with Eco-flo products. Total cost of materials and whatnot for this was under $15, which was the intent. It still needs some nice, strong, lacing instead of the thin cord used here.
Loosely stitched incase I decide to change the main body to something else later on, or addmore tooled pannels (quite likely). The tooled leather is heavy enough that you don't need boning in this unless you really try to put the screws to it. The reduction on this one is only about four inches, so it doesn't need any support.
you do beautiful tooling. i wish i had the skills to do that. and it looks wonderful with the thin cord...i know thicker better cord would probably be better though.
Thank you very much. It's actually a lot easier than it looks. It's all done with pressure, so it's like drawing with a metal magic marker.
I want to go with something a little thicker (probably leather lacing) so that it doesn't randomly give while being worn. Corsets don't tear, or rip... they have "Catastrophic failures"... and that's just never a good thing.

Danke. This veggie-tanned leather has a very luminous quality that I just love. I couldn't make myself dye it too dark, and I'm actually glad I didn't.

Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. These have to be custom fitted (more or less), but I still may do some sort of generic measurements in the future and put them up for sale.
